Project sketches in ink/watercolour & oil pastels
Sketching four seasons
Continuing the tree theme, I have been studying birches throughout the year. Recently, I started a new project on four seasons in a birch forest. My first sketches were in watercolour pencils, followed by four small sketches with oil pastels, iridescent ink, and aquadrop watercolour. The vertical trees in the foreground against a backdrop of further trees and the sky, more vertically placed are the sun light, branches, and leaves in seasonal colours, at the bottom the underwood bushes.
