Turner’s Venice Revisited
Learning from Masters by “copying” has been a treasured practice of artists. In preparation of a Venice trip, I was inspired by Turner’s Venice seascape watercolours collected by Lindsay Stainton (London: British Museum Publications, 1985). Here my landscape sketchbooks, 30×12 cm, on handmade Khadi cotton paper from India.
